First Impressions: Sleek Aqua Collection Mirrored Pink Blush

Hello dolls!

You may or may not have heard, but Sleek MakeUP recently launched their latest limited edition collection called the 'Aqua Collection' in Superdrug yesterday (13th of March 2013). The Aqua Collection comprises of an eyeshadow palette featuring bright, bold colours; a pink blush, and something that I've never seen before in a Sleek collection- a set of four nail polishes in bright colours! The only thing that stood out to me was the blush, because I just know that I will not get much use out of the colourful eyeshadows (so no point wasting money on something I won't use), and the nail polish colours seemed quite common to me. I went to two different Superdrugs yesterday in search of the blush, and in the second Superdrug I went to, there was only one left- so I grabbed it. Just thought I'd post some swatches here and some first thoughts about it before fully testing it out so you can see what the blush is like.

This blush is called 'Mirrored Pink' and it is a gorgeous blue-toned pink with a shimmery finish. It looks slightly warm in the palette but when placed on the skin (on my hand, that is) it gives a pretty, pink flush that I can imagine would suit many skin tones. Looking real closely at it, the fine shimmer particles are silver in colour, lending it cool undertones, which I think would suit those with fairer skin tones who fear using too warm blush shades in case it looks orange on them. In other words, this would also suit those with cool undertones in their skin tone (I hope I described that right).

R.R.P - £4.49 (approx. RM22.45)

Mirrored Pink has been touted by many bloggers as being the cooler toned version of Sleek's Rose Gold.  I do not own Rose Gold so I cannot make a comparison but seeing how Guipere in Sleek's Blush By 3 Lace palette has been said to be really similar in shade to Rose Gold, I have compared Mirrored Pink with Guipere and agree that it is a cuter, cooler toned version of Guipere.

The texture of Mirrored Pink is buttery smooth like most Sleek blushes and is highly pigmented- so a little is all that is needed for the nice pink glow on the cheeks.

Here are some swatches for your viewing pleasure. =D
