Review: Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_Ex

Hi dearies!

So I know I haven't posted in a while since I've been away on holiday, but I'm back with another review for all of you. =)

Product: Laneige Water Sleeping Pack Ex
Price: RM100 per tub
Made in: Korea
Content: 80ml

This review will be based on a sample of the product which my sister kindly took from a Laneige counter for me, as I do not own the full sized product.

This sleeping pack claims to give intensive hydration, vitality and a brightening effect while restoring skin with deep relaxation through aroma scent during sleep. It is said to be suitable for all skin types and is alcohol free, which makes it suitable for those with sensitive skin like myself. This product has been highly raved about on the Internet so I was super excited to get a sample of this.
Here's the list of ingredients:-

Packaging: I can't really say much about the packaging because mine's a tiny little sample but based on seeing it at Laneige counters, the sleeping pack comes in a calming blue tub which I think is made of plastic. It looks simple and understated IMO with no fancy frills to it- just what I like. =)

Application/Texture/Consistency: The sleeping pack comes in a light blue gel which has a very light, watery texture. Application is easy as the gel can be easily spread all over the face. Using the recommended amount of 2.5cm in diameter is more than sufficient for the entire face and I find that it leaves my skin feeling greasy and sticky and took quite a bit of time to sink in. Using less than the recommended amount, however, allowed the product to sink into my skin without leaving a sticky, greasy feeling- so I guess it really depends on the skin type and the amount of product used. Also, although this product does contain silicone in it, I did not feel that much of a silicone feel in the product in comparison to The Face Shop Aqua Sleeping Pack which feels quite silicone-y on the skin.

Scent: This sleeping pack has a very light aqua, marine-like scent which is very refreshing and calming- I like!

How I used it: After cleansing, toning and applying moisturiser to my face, I applied a pea-sized amount of this product, massaged it into my skin in circular motions and left it on overnight. Upon rinsing the product off and cleansing my face as per usual each time the next morning, I found that my skin did feel more hydrated and plump, although the brightening effect unfortunately, was lost on me. I did look slightly more fresh-faced, though, but my high hopes for this product were slightly dashed when I realised it was just another hydrating mask. I used this product twice a week until the sample ran out and each time my face produced the same results which only lasted for about a day. This sleeping pack however, did not cause any irritation or breakouts to my skin, which is a plus point. =D

The sample packet also included the directions on how to use this product as well as directions for a face relaxing massage which I though would be fun to show you all! =D

Price: At RM100 for 80ml, I think it is pretty worth the money as a little of this product goes a long way.

Would I purchase?- Yes, I would one day, but not now when I have plenty of face masks to use up! A little product is needed each time this sleeping pack is used so I do feel it is worth the money to splurge on this as it will last quite a while. I like masks that hydrate my skin and this sleeping pack does the job decently. Although, for those looking for masks that specifically brighten the face, this may not be for you. This sleeping pack is also convenient for those who just want to slap on mask and quickly head off to bed without wasting time waiting to wash off a mask. =D

Where can I purchase this?- At all Laneige counters nationwide which can be found in selected Parksons, Jusco, Robinsons and Isetan.

Have you tried this? What do you think of it? What sleeping packs do you recommend? Do let me know! =D

xx Amanda
