The Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence is an SPF 50+ PA+++ sunscreen which claims to provide long lasting UV protection in a non-sticky light texture. Biore claims that this product provides a water-like sensation and acts as a moisturising makeup base. It is made in Japan and can be used on the face and body.
The packaging of this sunscreen is simple and practical. It comes in a blue coloured plastic squeeze tube with a spout at the bottom. The spout dispenses product nicely with one gentle squeeze- not too much, not too little. The tube is lightweight and contains 50 grams of product - a nice size to carry in a handbag, or when travelling.

The sunscreen has a light citrus fragrance which I find quite refreshing. My skin is sensitive but the fragrance in this sunscreen caused no adverse reactions to my skin. The scent is also quite subtle and fades off rather quick upon application. I did not experience any form of irritation, allergic reaction or breakouts when using this product - and that's a plus point!
I apply half a teaspoon worth of this baby on my face, and true to Biore's claims, this sunscreen is non-sticky and feels so light on the skin that I do not even notice that I am wearing sunscreen! It is also non-greasy but can feel a little wet when first applied on the skin, so I leave it to dry for about 1-2 minutes before applying makeup. The texture of this sunblock is quite interesting. It feels like a light essence but has a slight cream-gel feel to it.
This baby spreads and absorbs easily into the skin, does not make my face look shiny and does not leave a white cast. It also works pretty decent as a makeup base as I find that most foundations or BB Creams I apply over it adhere to the sunscreen well and stays on my skin for a good 6-7 hours. I also love applying this on my body as it does not leave that sticky, heavy sunblock feel that I really am not a fan of!
The Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence is an outstanding product which I would happily repurchase. It is non-sticky, non-greasy and feels lovely on the skin. Oh, and did I mention it is inexpensive? They normally retail at RM32.90 here in Malaysia but most of the time they go on sale so you can get this baby for less than RM30. Brownies points for that!
Have you tried this sunscreen? Do you have you would recommend? =D
I've never tried this sunscreen but on a trip to Bali I picked up quite a few Biore face washes which I loved - very rich and creamy without drying out my skin. I currently use an SPF from La Roche Posay which I adore.

DeleteI always repurchased this guy when I enter Watson. It's truly my go-to sunscreen everywhere I go. But there was one time when I put it in my school bag as usual. Then, I accidentally sat on the bag and found out the splurge and mess I made in my bag. Oh goodness, what a lesson learn. Nice post xo
