REVIEW | Mary & May Vegan Blackberry Complex Cream Essence

Mary & May is a Korean brand I had not heard much about until I was given this product as a gift. I was intrigued when I saw that this product was called a "cream essence". Want to know more about this? Read on below!

Product before it is shaken

Based on Mary & May's website, Mary & May is a clean beauty skincare brand. It claims that all its ingredients are EWG green grade, animal testing is prohibited, and raw materials that cause skin troubles and irritations such as 16 harmful ingredients (no mention on their website of what are these ingredients) are excluded.

This Blackberry Complex Cream Essence is a nutritious cream in an essence formula which melts into the skin and provides intensive nourishment and moisture to the skin. It also claims to have the following ingredients: 

• 50,000ppm Blackberry extract: Juicy blackberries are rich in anthocyanins. It prevents and improves aging caused by free radicals.
• 100,000ppm Blue lotus water: The blue lotus is called the flower of life in ancient Egypt. Its excellent moisturising and soothing effect makes the skin moist and elastic.
• 80,000ppm Jojoba seed oil: Similar to human skin lipids, it does not clog pores and forms a skin moisturizing film. Strengthens the skin barrier.

Product after it is shaken

The packaging is aesthetically pleasing and it comes in a solid 140ml / 4.73fl. oz. glass bottle with a dispenser which helps control the amount of product is dispensed.

It has a unique double phase emulsion where the cream and essence are separated and the product has to be shaken well before being poured onto our hands and applied to the skin.  This cream essence has a watery texture which easily soaks into the skin and makes my sensitive skin feel plump (like the feeling of a mochi) and very nourished. This soothes any dry patches I have on my skin and does not leave it feeling sticky, oily or greasy. It is fragrance-free and did not irritate my skin at all.

Product after it has been applied on the skin. Like how it gives me a healthy, natural glow!

I brought this with me on my recent travels and realised I forgot to bring body lotion. In desperation, I used this on my body and legs and love how smooth and soft it made my skin feel. I would purchase this after I am done with this bottle and would recommend this!
