August 2012 Favourites

Hello dearies!

I'm looking back at everything that has past and I can't believe that 8 months of the year has flown by! Anyhow, I'm back with my monthly favourites. If you've noticed, I did not have a July 2012 favourites and that's because I was away for the month and only brought along what I thought was necessary, instead of what were my favourites. =) This month I've got quite a number of new favourites so I'll head on to sharing them with you now! =D

1. Boots The Garden Collection Lavender Hand Lotion
This was given to me a while back by my lovely cousin but I never bothered using it till recently when my hands started feeling unbelievably dry for some reason. So I started slathering on this hand cream every night and my hands started feeling softer and less rough! It also smells like actual lavender and not those fake smelling lavender scents I detect in products sometimes, so I really like that about this product.

2. Sleek Blush by 3 Palettes in Lace & Sugar
The bf kindly brought these back for me from the UK and these blush palettes have quickly become a favourite of mine because they are oh-so-handy to tote around and the blush colors are gorgeous! They are also highly pigmented and a little dusting on the cheeks lasts at least half a day, so I can imagine taking many years to hit pan on these babies. =D

3. SAMPAR Daily Dose Foaming Cleanser
I broke out pretty bad due to a certain cleansing bar and this cleanser helped calm my troubled skin. My pimples are slowly subsiding and this does not dry my skin out at all. It's interesting how they call it a foaming cleanser 'cause mine doesn't seem to foam (or maybe it's just me. Hehe!). This little tube of mine is only sample-sized and I'm already halfway through it! My sensitive skin is really liking it so I am considering getting the full product. =)

4. Australis Nudist Eye Shadow Palette
I've always wanted a nude palette that was extremely affordable and when I came across this, I instantly grabbed it. I like this palette because the colors are so easy to wear, and since then I've been using this every day. The eyeshadows are also quite pigmented and easy to blend, plus it is a compact palette making this a breeze to bring anywhere!

5. Biore UV Perfect Face Milk SPF 50+ PA+++
I got this product early this year but have been using this a lot in August after deciding that my other sunblock was more suited for my body. This sunblock is lightweight, does not leave a greasy feel on my skin, and leaves my skin feeling matte, smooth and slightly papery (which I happen to like. Haha!) for hours- just what I need in this hot and humid climate. =)

6. Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick in Pink About It
Matte lippies have taken my world by storm and this baby is no exception. Pink About It is a bright pink-red which instantly brightens up my complexion and makes me look more fresh-faced. I have been reaching quite often for this shade especially since I've been falling sick quite a bit of late, and who wouldn't want to look and feel good when they're feeling down and out hmm? =D

7. SILKYGIRL Fruitti Trio in Sunshine Cheer
This lip balm is very moisturising, which is really what I need in this hot weather. It also contains SPF 15 so I don't have to worry about lip protection whenever I'm out and about under the sun! I really like how this lip balm applies clear but turns to a sheer pink shade, just like my other colour-changing lip balm, and this leaves my lips looking pretty with a subtle hint of colour. This also smells really fruity- I like!

So that's about it for my August favourites! I really can't believe that more than half a year has gone by. I still feel like its only May or June! So what are your monthly favourites? Any products you've been loving? =D

xx Amanda
