Review: H&M Nail Polish

Hello!!!

Okay so I know I've taken many mini hiatus-es, which is not good for my dear blog, but I've been so busy with uni and stuff, and that now that uni is over and Chinese New Year holidays have officially started for me, I can't tell you how RELIEVED I am- for now! =D

So the sister went on a study trip to Barcelona late last year and brought back these two goodies for me to try!!

Product: H&M Nail Polish
Price: €0.99 (approx. RM3.95)
Made in: Turkey
Content: 7ml

I found out that H&M stands for Hennes & Mauritz (it was written on the back of the bottle), never knew that before- just a random fact! =D

So I'll show a picture of the polishes one by one here:-

This polish is very simply named Plum, and I think the name suits perfectly as the colour is a very dark, deep purple- very classy! =)

The next one is...

And this one is called Taupe- which I really have nothing else to comment on as it perfectly describes the colour IMO. Hehe! It's a soft sand/brown/very light grey colour.

So on to the review folks!

Packaging: These bottles look very simple- black cap of a medium length and a clear glass bottle. I like how the writing on the bottle in white nicely contrasts with the nail polish colour. =) Plus it's tiny! A 7ml bottle is pretty small, so extremely easy to tote around anywhere (like I do to uni sometimes to paint my digits during a break. Hehe!).

Application/Texture/Consistency: The formula of these polishes are not too thick, and neither too runny- rather easy to apply. Although I did find Taupe to be slightly clumpy compared to Plum- maybe it's just the bottle of Taupe I got that was slightly clumpy.  The brush is pretty thin and long, not really to my liking, but a few extra strokes should suffice to cover the entire nail. Two coats of the polish gave me a nice, opaque finish- plus it dried pretty quickly too!

Although one thing I noticed when using these polishes was that my nails had tiny lil' air bubbles in it, more so the Taupe one. So I did not really have a smooth finish on my nails. =S

Durability: These polishes lasted approx. 4 days on my nails before chipping- pretty decent! =D

Price: At approx. RM3.95 a bottle, I'd say this is cheap! Unfortunately H&M is not available in Malaysia so I could not purchase this even if I wanted to.

Here's swatches of the nail polishes:-

And...

Swatch in Taupe

Would I re-purchase this?- Yea I guess I would if it were available here in Malaysia. =D

Where can I purchase this?- At H&M stores, although I don't think the nail polishes in all H&M's in their respective stores globally are the same. =)

So I gotta run to have my dinner!

Have you tried H&M nail polishes? What do you think of them? =D

xx Amanda

  1. Thank you for any other informative blog. Where else could I am getting that kind of information written in such a perfect approach? I have a undertaking that I'm simply now working on, and I have been on the look out for such information.
