Review: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink Velvet & Kiss Me Coral

Hello dearies! So I know I'm like WAY late in posting up a review for this product 'cause it's been out in the market for a couple of years now but since I've purchased it, I thought I might as well give my opinion about it. =D

Product: Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick
Price: RM30 each
Made in: USA
Content: 4.2g

Am gonna show you the lipsticks separately and then only give my opinion on them to make it easier for you to read, okie? =D

The first one is...

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in #423 Pink Velvet. This is a pink-rose shade with blue undertones; very sweet colour! =D I like this shade more out of the two as I find it a more versatile colour.

The next one is...

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in #750 Kiss Me Coral. This shade is a very bright orange-red- very eye-catching!

Packaging: The lipsticks come in a black cylinder plastic tube with gold metal-looking casing. I really like this packaging 'cause it looks very classy and elegant to me. The lipsticks are also easy to tote around.

Application/Texture/Consistency: The lippies have a cream texture and apply matte. It is quite creamy and applies smoothly, however, due to the texture it felt quite drying to me and made my lips look dry. However, this problem can be solved by applying a thin layer of lipbalm prior to the application of the lipstick. The lipstick comes in a slanted angle, making it easy to apply on the lips. It also does not feel gritty on my lips, and is also not flaky. Two layers will give a nice, smooth finish on the lips.

Durability: The lipsticks last reasonably long- approx. 4 hours, but the colour would fade during this period of time, so to ensure bright, opaque colour, re-application would be necessary.

Here's swatches of the lippies under natural lighting:

Swatch on top: Pink Velvet, Swatch at the bottom: Kiss Me Coral

And here's swatches of the lippies under artificial lighting(indoor):

Left swatch: Kiss Me Coral, Right Swatch: Pink Velvet
Price: At RM30 per lipstick, I think it's pretty okay pricing.

Here's Pink Velvet on my lips:-

And here's Kiss Me Coral on my lips:-

I really apologise if the pictures do not show exactly how clear the colour is- again, it's my not-so-fabulous photography skills getting in the way of me showing you clear, beautiful pictures! I promise I am doing my very best to try to give you good pictures! =D

Would I repurchase?- Yes to Pink Velvet, and No to Kiss Me Coral, because I find it quite difficult to wear Kiss Me Coral without feeling like my lips are screaming "look at me!" Haha!! On the other hand, Pink Velvet is more muted and sweet, which I definitely prefer. Hee!

Where can I purchase this?- In all leading pharmacies such as Watsons, Guardian, Caring, as well as Jusco, and Parkson.

Hope you dearies are having a smashing holiday! =D

xx Amanda
